Anne Marie Mitchell

Throughout her 25+ year career, Anne Marie has specialized in employee and leader communications as an agency leader and consultant working with Fortune 100 companies as well as in-house with organizations across industry sectors including tech, CPG, manufacturing, higher ed, energy production and services, among others.

She is a specialist in helping C-Suite leaders deliver impactful messages that retain and motivate employees during times of crisis and culture transition. While working as a communications consultant, Anne Marie also taught public relations as associate professor at Columbia College Chicago for 15 years. In 2008, she co-created and taught the first class on social media in North American universities, and has researched and published on strategies for conveying regret in online media, such as this peer-reviewed study on effective image repair strategies in YouTubers’ apology videos.

Fluent in Spanish and having lived and worked in Spain, France, Mexico and South America, Anne Marie is adept at supporting organizations with complex, global workforces.   She is a graduate of Indiana University, and has her MA in Spanish literature from Loyola University. In addition to serving as co-president of the Publicity Club of Chicago’s board of directors, she serves on the board of Steep Theatre.
